Gigbus appreciate the opportunity of submitting a Quotation for Hire together with its Standard Terms and Conditions of Hire which ensures that you as the hirer are protected, and that the best interests of both parties are catered for.
The rate charged is appropriate to coach grading/capacity, kilometres travelled, and time incurred. Any change requested by the hirer to the above, on or before the day of hire, is dependent on availability and may result in the rate being adjusted accordingly from the original quote. Should the distance and/or duration of the hire exceed that anticipated in the quotation resulting in increased costs, Gigbus reserves the right to adjust these rates accordingly.
The rates quoted are net rates in New Zealand currency and include GST unless otherwise stated. Payment in full is required prior to tour departure unless approval has been granted by Gigbus for credit terms to apply. In such event, settlement must be made by the 20th of the month following debit of the charge.
Should the accounts rendered not be settled on the due date, interest at a rate of 2.5% per month or part thereof shall be charged from the date of hire. Any costs incurred by Gigbus in collection of such arrears shall be added to the hirer's account.
In the event of there being cost increases in relation to fuel, driver contract rates and/or other costs by legislation between the date of the quotation and the date of hire, Gigbus reserves the right to adjust the quotation to take such increased costs into account. In fairness, the hirer has the opportunity of accepting the new price or cancelling the hire.
Gigbus issues the quotation in good faith and in accepting the quotation the hirer hereby binds him/herself as surety and co-guarantor for the due and proper settlement of the account. In the event of a dispute, the hirer shall settle the amount claimed in full and then make representation to Gigbus in respect of the said dispute. In the event of a credit being warranted, Gigbus undertakes to refund the hirer such amount within seven days of the resolution of the dispute.
The quoted rates include the services of a coach/bus driver unless otherwise stated. The quotation is given on the understanding that the on duty hours for the driver comply with current legislation. These regulations determine that a driver cannot be on duty for any more than 13 hours before he must have a 10 hour rest break. These 13 hours include relocation time from our depot.
Gigbus does not guarantee to complete any journey in a given time. Gigbus will make every reasonable effort to carry out the hirer's requirements but takes no responsibility or liability for additional costs, loss or inconvenience caused by changes in road conditions or deviations from normal routes, floods or other unusual circumstances, industrial action, sickness of staff or passengers, or other circumstances out of our control. Gigbus reserves the right to substitute alternative equipment at its option in the event of unanticipated circumstances which necessitate a change.
Gigbus does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to property left in the vehicle. Smoking is not permitted in the vehicle.
Should the hirer agree to provide meals and accommodation for the coach driver, such accommodation where available must be of a standard not less than a single bedroom with a wash hand basin. Where accommodation provided for the driver is not up to this standard and the driver has been unable to secure alternative accommodation within 2 kilometres, an additional charge shall be payable for each night as prescribed in our company Driver Employment Contract. Camping, Marae and Farm-stay tours incur a similar additional charge. Rates are available on application.
Cancellation policy for concerts and events: In the event that less than ten ticket holders wish to travel, this coach will not run. We will notify you at least 7 days prior to travel, and a full refund will be issued upon presentation of your travel ticket.
If you cancel your booking less than 30 days but more than 7 days before the date of the event, we will charge an administration fee of $10.00 per seat and refund you the remaining amount upon presentation of your travel ticket.
If you cancel your booking in the 7 days before the date of the event, we will charge a 50% cancellation fee and refund you the remaining amount upon presentation of your travel ticket.
Payment of your bookings are to be made at the time of booking.
Coach & Entry
If you cancel your booking less than 30 days but more than 7 days before the date of the event, we will charge a 50% cancelation fee and refund you the remaining amount upon presentation of your travel ticket.
If you cancel your booking in the 7 days before the date of the event, we will charge a 100% cancellation fee on the cost of the entry ticket, and a 50% cancellation fee on the cost of the coach ticket. We will refund the remaining amount upon presentation of your travel ticket.
Coach Only
If you cancel your booking 7 days before the date of the event, we will charge a 50% cancelation fee and refund you the remaining amount upon presentation of your travel ticket.
